In Japan, Small Displacement by AbhiLeave a Comment

Post Listing Update: Despite 14 bids on eBay up to $2,125, this little CB did not meet reserve.

One of the truly iconic small-displacement Japanese bikes, the Honda CB160 is a small but well-built street bike. This specific example has undergone a frame-off restoration and looks absolutely lovely.

Honda CB160 - Cockpit

The 161cc parallel twin engine produced 16 horsepower, which was good for a top speed of 68 miles per hour. It weighs just 290 pounds and was capable of a miserly 75 miles per gallon. Riders enjoyed this bike because Honda incorporated technology from bigger bikes like the tubular frame, single-overhead cam, and more. For $530, you’d get an engine that could hit 10,000 rpm, and a bike good enough to be called a baby Superhawk by Cycle World.

This specific Honda CB160 has been restored (pictures of the process included in the listing) that was completely gone through. Everything is claimed to work great, and the bike only has a few miles since the restoration.
