Post-Listing Update: This Vincent Egli Black Shadow did not meet reserve with 36 bids up to $44,100.
The Vincent Egli Black Shadow is a combination of two amazing things – the 1000cc engine and pedigree of the Vincent Black Shadow with a classic Egli nickel plated chassis. Feel free to drool.
This bike uses a “Slater Brothers” frame – Roger Slater was the official Egli importer in the UK starting in 1968. In 1971, Slater started sourcing frames from Eric Cheney (known for his work with Triumphs). The seller notes that this frame is a 1974 model from the Slater/Cheney partnership.
This specific Vincent Egli Black Shadow also comes with Ceriani 35mm front forks, Borrani WM3 wheels, Smith gauges, a Triumph headlight, and more. I’d like to see a black headlight bucket (maybe an original Black Shadow unit) and I’m not convinced about the paint on the sidecovers, but how can you not like this bike?
