If last week’s 50th Anniversary Edition was a bit more than you wanted to pay but you still want to relive the magic of what made monkey bikes special for both kids and adults, here’s a 3-owner example that just got an extensive amount of work done so that it’s ready to enjoy.
The Honda Z50 Mini Trail used a 49CC air cooled single cylinder overhead cam motor that produced 3 HP with a three speed semi automatic clutch. Depending on the weight of the rider, the bike was able to hit about 30 miles per hour. By itself, the Mini Trail weighed 127 pounds. Adorned in Candy Apple Red, this bike just got over $1,100 in work done, including taking out the rust from inside the gas tank, rebuilding the carb, repairing the kickstand, installing new tires, and more. The seller will include a new seat cover as well. The sidecover and paint scheme throw me off – can any Z50 experts chime in to confirm if this is a ’76 or a different year?
Find this Z50 for sale here on Craigslist in Highland Park, California for $2,000.
