The Suzuki GS1150ES was one of the last big standards, a line that started with the Honda CB750. This bike was rare even when new, so I’m glad to share a pretty solid example of what is now a 32 year old motorcycle.
Suzuki took their already beefy GS1100, bumped up the displacement, and created the 1100E. The “ES” got the nifty front fairing to complement a bike that could knock out 10 second quarter miles and a top speed over 140 miles per hour. For more on the GS, check out this retrospective from Rider magazine about the unfaired model.
This specific Suzuki GS1150ES (VIN: js1gv71a1d210009) has 28,621 miles and looks to be in decent condition. There’s some fading of the paint on the wheels, but the fairings look good. Clean the carbs and replace a fuel line and you’ll be good to go. The bike also comes with aftermarket Kerker pipes.
