Post Listing Update: This VTR250 did not get any interest at the BIN of $1,550. Confusingly, the seller then decided to relist it for more money ($1,650). When that didn’t sell, he went up to $1,950. When that didn’t sell, he went up to $2,150! You can probably guess how that went.

Sold in the US for three years, the Honda VTR250 has become a cult classic for riders that love small bikes. The liquid cooled 250cc engine was paired with a six-speed transmission, and interestingly, an inboard front disc.

If you want something different than the usual Ninja 250/300, this is truly a great all-arounder and it will become a classic. You could attain 90 mpg if you babied it, but still do 95mph if you needed it. Some might consider the riding position to be a bit cramped, but it’s very versatile, and it checks off the right boxes for a little bike. It’s light, nimble, and in a very 80’s way, good looking to boot.

This example (VIN: JH2MC150XKM102979) is offered in the less-common black paint scheme and it’s got the are Honda center stand and Lockhart Phillips mid fairings. It’s said to be in good running and cosmetic condition with 25,800 miles, a clean PA title, and lots of recent maintenance: rebuilt forks, new front brake lines, fluid flush, new front tire, Dynojet Stage 2 kit, POR15 coated tank, new headlight bulb, 4 new turn signals, new chain, new battery, and plenty more. The seller suggests that it will need a new rear tire soon, a clamp seal on the muffler, and a new bulb in the gauge cluster.
