The Yamaha YSR50 was the most common of the rare 50cc sportbikes that came from Japan in the late 80s and early 90s. An instant classic, the YSR50 was always street legal, but is now primarily used in spec racing.
The 49.3cc two-stroke engine was capable of pushing the bike up to 38 miles per hour, but companies like Team Calamari have been making stock performance numbers useless with years of aftermarket parts and performance modifications.
This specific Yamaha YSR50D is in the very rare black and yellow paint scheme – most of these were a white/red that was reminiscent of bigger Yamaha sportbikes of the day. It’s street legal with title, and while it does have some minor scratches on the right fairing, it looks good and everything works great.
Find this Yamaha YSR50 for sale here on Craigslist in Chicago, Illinois for $2,600.
