Ducati offered the 900SS between 1991 and 1998, and during that time they sold a full-fairing version (the SS/SP) and a half-fairing version (the SS/CR). I find the latter more attractive, though the ’96 and newer CRs have non-rebuildable Marzochhi front forks that some riders aren’t happy with – don’t worry, this seller has dealt with that. This example has some minor cosmetic damage on the right side that’s going to keep the price low, perfect for someone who’s just looking for a fun air-cooled Ducati rider.
If you want to learn more about the differences between the SP and the CR, head on over to ducatitech. This example has 21,000 miles and is being offered by the second owner. He or she says it’s well maintained and has service records to hopefully back the claim up. This example has a few extras – Zero Gravity windscreen, Staintune exhaust, and most importantly, a swapped over set of the 3-way adjustable Showa forks that were only available on the full-fairing SP. Half-fairing looks with the adjustable forks – the perfect 900SS combination!
