In 1987, Husqvarna was bought by Cagiva and it became part of MV Agusta. Many engineers from Husky’s development team decided to stay in Sweden and they founded Husaberg in 1988. They were competitive in racing but sales were lackluster, and in ’95 the brand was sold to KTM. By 2003, KTM was producing Husabergs themselves. You know KTM’s slogan, “Ready to Race”? That was originally Husaberg’s – and they made a name for themselves with competitive four stroke machines. Here’s a clean example of their 550 enduro from a seller I trust.
For more on the FE550e, check out this review from Dirt Rider, who have nothing but great things to say about it.
This example was acquired last fall by the seller, who went through it all and then only got to ride it once. Extras include a Safari oversize tank, spare fenders, new graphics kit, FMF exhaust, BOSS radiator guards, and a skid plate. Find this ‘berg for sale here on Craigslist for $3,900 outside of Portland, Oregon.
