Post Listing Update: This 950 SM was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown.
For many supermoto riders, the KTM 950 SM made no sense – how could a bike that weighs approximately 450 pounds be called a supermoto. But if you were willing to give this KTM a shot, you would be rewarded with one of the greatest hooligan bikes in history, Smoke supersports in the twisties, rip off power wheelies, and anger the police in all kinds of ways – and you can do it all in relative comfort!
The stock bike weighed 421 pounds dry and the 942cc carb’d motor was good for 92 horsepower and 70 pound feet of torque. Every review of this bike used a combination of words that said it was versatile and insanely fun – RoadRunner called it “an adrenaline junky’s best friend.”
This bike (VIN: vbkvs44017m928953) has 25,292 miles and it’s being offered by the third owner, a long time Bike-urious reader. He notes that the bike is in “good overall condition” but the decals are exhibiting the tolls of time. You should be willing to overlook that because decals are cheap and this bike is well equipped with extras like the front rotors from a Super Duke, KTM bar risers, larger kickstand foot, Hyde Racing screen, KTM soft luggage rack, two custom seats (Renazco and Mr. Ed’s), FMF mufflers, new Pirelli Diableo Supersport tires, and some KTM soft luggage – tank and rear bags.
