Someone seems to be parting out their collection, and is offering a bundle of three little Italians. Read on to get more details on each one.
I’ve featured a couple Gilera 150 Sports recently, so check out that link if you want some more information. This specific bike is well-sorted and has recently completed both the Giro D’California as well as an Italian Giro. The silencer may belong to an earlier year model. All electrics work except for the charging failure light, which stays on while running though the bike does charge the battery.
The Lodola was a “Gran Turismo” that produced 11 horsepower. In total, 26,757 were built, 4,275 of which were built in 1960. After Guzzi was sold in the mid 60s, new ownership considered this bike obsolete or unprofitable and ended production. This Lodola has been touched up but not restored. All electrics work and it comes with a rare luggage rack on the back.
The Tonale featured chain-drive overhead cam single was a 175cc four stroke engine, which put power through a 4-speed transmission. In 1956, a Bianchi Tonale built and modified by Alessandro Colombo won the Giro d’Italia, the Milano Taranto, and broke a mile record (with a special fairing by Nardi). The seller notes that it’s a little more finicky than the others because it needs occasional carb adjustments. It has a new exhaust, the paint has been touched up, and the speedo has been replaced.
