Available for just two years in the US, the CB900F Super Sport was made famous by Fast Freddie Spencer in Superbike racing. This example got a cosmetic refresh which helped it win Best of Show at last year’s Pagoda Show at the Indianapolis MotoGP. It sure is pretty.
The 901cc inline four engine put out 89 horsepower and 56 pound-feet of torque, good for a top speed of about 135 miles per hour. Honda originally did not plan on importing this bike to the US because we already had the flagship CBX. But plenty of American riders still wanted the bigger, badder version of the CB750F – and they were rewarded in ’81 and ’82. For more on the 900F, check out this profile from Motorcycle Classics.
This CB (VIN: JH2SC0109CM104179) has 14,637 miles and looks great thanks to the cosmetic work. The motor was repainted and all nuts and bolts were apparently either re-plated or replaced. Note that it has a 19 painted on the tail as a tribute to Freddie Spencer. Find this CB900F for sale in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with bidding up to $900 and the reserve not yet met
