Powered by the drivetrain from the BMW R1150 series, the guys over at Gruter und Gut created the GG Quad, which makes the Can-Am Spyder seem cheap…and good looking. But with a MSRP of $70,000 and the fact that only 29 were sold in the US, this isn’t a quad you’ll see very often, or ever. Then again, based on the way it looks, that might not be a bad thing.
The components are top notch, in general, but it’s still stuck with the limitations of being a quad. The R1150 motor is good for just under 100 horsepower, and you’ll also get a reverse gear, but this vehicle weighs 898 pounds, nearly twice what the R1150R does. Thanks to the boxer engine’s high torque (66 lb-ft), you still got a 4.9 second blast to 60 miles per hour, letting you leave most cars behind. Motor Trend was able to achieve 0.9G on the skidpad, but it’ll require some serious muscle for you to consistently match that. Need more information? Head over to the website of the sole American importer.
This specific GG Quad is equipped with limited slip differentials, giant side panniers, and of course, the wonderful factory BMW heated grips. Check out the crazy grab handles for the passenger! It has just 559 miles on it, and this might be the closest you get to having the same vehicle as Jay Leno or Michael Jordan, if that means anything to you.
