Starting with a KZ1000, a previous owner of this Kawi has turned into a clone of the ELR – Eddie Lawson Replica.

The ELR was a factory limited edition with a production run of 750. Want to learn more about why this bike was worth cloning? Check out this write-up from Motorcycle Classics, who call it “A mean machine in its day and collectible classic Kawasaki motorcycle today.” To make this clone, the builder swapped the seat, handlebars, shocks, oil cooler, mirrors, gold wheels, Kerker full exhaust, and repainted the bike. Aftermarket goodies include a Cal Fab swingarm and Telefix fork brace. This bike (VIN: JKAKZCJ12CA008424) has just shy of 13,000 miles and everything is claimed to work as it should.
