Here’s a first-year example of the 30 horsepower R60/2 that’s been fully restored by some noted experts in the world of classic BMWs. For more information on the slash 2, check out this page on Jeff Dean’s BMW-focused web site.
This example has 90 break-in miles on the odometer after a 4 year long, “frame up restoration” by noted experts. Bench Mark Works took care of the crank up engine rebuild, and the heads were rebuilt by CycleWorks. The frame was powdercoated, the sheet metal got new paint, and Herb Martinez took care of the pinstriping. In addition, you’ll get imported Metzelers that are not available in the US, and a ’62 vintage black plate. It’s a gorgeous package that is claimed to be a cosmetic 9.5 out of 10 (the hinged rear fender is from a different bike and doesn’t “align as perfectly as the original likely did.”
