You guys and gals seemed to enjoy Travis Hartz’s Honda CBR250R boardtracker, so here’s something with a similar spin – a custom board tracker tribute with Honda power. This time the engine is from a ’76 Honda XL350.
No, there was never an Oldsmobile motorcycle – the creator/seller is named Steve Olds. The frame was hand fabricated by Speed-Machine Motorcycles, the wheels are 23″ from back when Honda was throwing those things on the fronts of CR125Rs and XR250s, and the tank is custom made. There’s lots of cool parts on this build – especially the working 1907 Dietz kerosene driving lamp. In the seller’s words:
“Yes it runs. Yes it’s fast. No, I don’t know how fast it goes, I’m too scared to open it up. No, it doesn’t ride like a Goldwing. No, you probably won’t want to take it on a long trip. Top speed on stock XL’s was 78MPH. It weighs about 200 lbs so it is light. Yes it’s street “legal” meaning it has a head light and a brake/tail light. It is a show queen and a hit wherever it goes. You’ve never seen another like it.”
Well, that last sentence is true. It’s been invited to several top notch shows around the country, like The One in Portland, and the seller is awaiting word from the The Handbuilt Show run by Revival in Austin. It’s got a few first place trophies and now it can be yours, so find this custom for sale in Friendship, Wisconsin with bidding up to $6,300 and the reserve not yet met
