Post Listing Update: This RC51 was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown.

Honda built the RC51 to compete in World Superbike, and the bike earned titles in 2000 and 2002. The latter year, the RC51 also won the AMA Superbike championship with Nicky Hayden, and Honda responded in 2004 by producing a “Nicky Hayden Edition.” The changes were cosmetic only – a sticker kit, white number plates on the upper fairing and tail, as well as a brushed aluminum finish on the frame and swingarm.

This example (VIN: JH2SC45354M401060) has a healthy 21,807 miles on it and there are some signs of it – especially with regards to minor cosmetic damage to the tail and a couple of other plastic pieces. I like the D&D exhaust, but I don’t care for the excessive amount of stickers (even if it’s from the factory kit meant to replica the decals on Nicky’s AMA bike). The other non-original piece seems to be a fender eliminator kit. The bike is being offered by a dealership that has “fully serviced” the bike and they fairly claim it’s in “average” cosmetic condition.
