Patton Watch Commission – 1996 Moto Guzzi Sport 1100

In Cafe Racer, Custom, Italy by AbhiLeave a Comment

Post-Listing Update: Yet another example of the tough world of selling custom motorcycles, this Guzzi did not meet reserve with bidding up to $7,300.

Created by Alain Bernard of Santiago Chopper, this custom Guzzi was a commissioned build from the French watch manufacturer Patton. It’s an interesting build that was featured in the ‘Ton Up‘ show in Sturgis back in 2013 which was co-curated by Paul d’Orleans and Michael Lichter – and the book that they also co-authored, Cafe Racers: Speed, Style, and Ton-Up Culture. If you’ve got a bit of cash burning a hole in your pocket, this bike can move from your coffee table to your garage!

From what I can tell, Patton built 50 watches to correspond with this bike. I can’t find any information on that but the seller includes a picture of one of the watches. This bike (VIN: ZGUKEAKE7SM100131) has 9,237 miles on the odometer and it’s spent most of its time as a showroom display bike. The seller says that they will throw a new battery into it and start the motorcycle before they ship it to you. Thanks to the ample amount of carbon fiber, this bike weighs about 80 pounds less than the stock 1100 Sport.
