Perfect Patina – 1972 Ducati 750 GT

The Ducati 750 GT is a wonderful bike, but inevitably it seems that any decent ones for sale have been restored. That’s why I’m excited to present this 750 GT, which is in original, unrestored condition. It’s claimed to run like new but the cosmetics show a lovely amount of wear.

The 748cc twin produced 60 horsepower, which was good enough to push the 407 pound (dry) bike up to 125 miles per hour. Original MSRP was $1,995. Want to learn more? Check out a lengthy write-up here on Motorcycle Classics about what makes the 750GT special.

Ducati 750 GT - Left Side

This specific Ducati 750 GT (VIN: 750327) has just 6,876 miles and the seller says it runs like the day he bought it. Unfortunately, there are two exceptions to the originality of this bike – the chain guard and the mufflers, and the originals are not included. Still, I love it – the pitting on the chrome, the faded paint, the general patina – it looks like a bike that’s been around the block a few times.
