Post-Sale Update: After 27 bids on eBay, this CB1100F sold for $5,701 – an impressive figure.
Built for just one year, the Honda CB1100F was a sleek looking standard that evolved from the 900F. In the process, it had tremendous performance – in January of ’83, Cycle World said it was the fastest stock bike they’ve ever tested.
The 4 cylinder engine produced 108 horsepower, good for a top speed of 139 miles per hour. The US got an optional chin fairing and a slightly different seating position than the rest of the world.
This specific Honda CB1100F (VIN: JH2SC1102DM001001) has just 7,013 miles and is all original. The only flaw is a broken plastic stem that resets the trip meter. It has a recent service including an oil change, carb cleaning, cam chain adjustment, and brake flush.
