While most of us find beauty in machines, some find art. And some, like Matthew Ortiz of Swerve Customs in Albuquerque, NM, manage to find the magic combination of practicality in design. Here, the lowly Kawasaki KZ750 LTD is transformed into such an animal.

We all know the dirty little secret of high-end custom motorbikes; they’re nice to look at, not so nice to ride farther than the local bike night and maybe not even out of the living room display spot. But here, Ortiz has managed to create a full-on custom with the look and promise of ride-ability for an afternoon out on your favorite back roads. The look is cafe-cool, the mono-shock conversion is techie, and there’s no fake patina to be found anywhere. I like it, how about you? This bike is offered by the builder here on his web site in Albuquerque, New Mexico for $7,500.
