The seller calls this a 2003, but the limited edition F4 Serie Oro was only offered in 2000 – so that’s what I’m going to call this. Either way, this is already a rare model, but this is on a whole another level as it has never been started or registered. Heck, the battery and mirrors have apparently never been installed. Just 300 examples of this bike were produced (20 of which came to the US). This is #293 and it was originally sold in Holland.
The first variant of the F4 released to the public, the Serie Oro was designed by Massimo Tamburini who gave it the traditional red/silver scheme of MV Agusta’s in the past, as well as a distinctive four pipe undertail exhaust. The swingarm and wheels (among other parts) were made from magnesium, then anodized gold to match the “Oro” name. Any part that’s painted on this bike was made with carbon – even the fuel tank and air box. This helps the bike weigh just 396 pounds, which meant that the 124 horsepower, 749cc inline-four was plenty adequate.
This specific MV Agusta F4 Serie Oro (VIN: ZCGF400AAXV000293) is #293 of 300 and it comes with the MSO as it has never been registered. The seller says it is “in literally as new condition.” So find this Serie Oro for sale in Golden, Colorado with bidding up to $21,200 and the reserve not yet met
