Post-Sale Update: This Griso sold for the BIN of $9,800.
The Moto Guzzi Griso SE is a (surprise!) special edition of the Griso, set off by beautiful Tenni paint reminiscient of Guzzi’s racebikes of the 1950s. The SE got several extras, including spoked wheels, the beautiful paint (and brown leather seat), and blacked out parts all over the place. Mechanically, you also got adjustable suspension, and giant Brembo brakes – this bike was an interesting balance between the style of a custom with the components of a sportbike. I think it’s one of the coolest looking modern motorcycles that’s been built.
In general, Guzzi’s don’t sell well in the US, and this bike was no different. But for the small group of riders that love these bikes, this bike is a solid all-arounder that drips exclusivity. As the wonderful Kevin Ash (RIP) once said in an article for BikeEXIF:
…the bike whose looks do the most for me is the Guzzi Griso, sweeping and elegant on the left, overtly mechanical and rugged on the right.
This specific Moto Guzzi Griso SE (VIN: ZGULSU025CM111573) has just under 7,000 miles and had a recent service and new set of Michelin Pilot 4’s. With the exception of a fender eliminator (original included), this bike is as it came off the dealer floor.
