Here’s a Harley-Davidson XR1200 Custom that’s been converted into a replica of the classic XR750 – with the bonus of being street legal.
I’m a little unclear as to why the seller calls this a ’95 XR1200, seeing as that bike didn’t exist. I’m assuming that it’s a Sportster 1200 and the seller is simply being cute about naming it? If so, 1995 was the first year of the XL1200 Sportster, which replaced the XLH. The XL1200 produced 50 horsepower and 55 pound feet of torque with belt drive and a 5-speed transmission.
This specific Harley-Davidson XR1200 Custom has 11,500 miles and was built as a replica in January. It features a real fiberglass tank and tail from a XR750, gold powder-coated mag wheels, Pirelli flat-track replica bars, Supertrapp pipes, a miniscule Rigid Industries headlight that ensure street-legal-ness (yes, I’m pretending that’s a word), and more. The seller says he puts 200-250 miles a week on it and that he’s gone 2 for 2 in some ‘hooligan flat track races’ he entered.
