The Ducati 900FE, otherwise known as the Final Edition of the Supersports, marked the end of the carb’d big-twin Ducatis. A one year run of just 300 bikes, it’s a polarizing bike – it’s either one of the prettiest bikes Ducati ever made that’s full of character, or another one of countless special editions that barely added anything to the base model.
The Final Edition was in ways similar to the Superlight, but it got 41mm FCR carbs, Ohlins rear shock, monoposto seat, but not much else. These bikes were relatively similar to the base model bike. Want to learn more? Check out this great ‘buyer’s guide’ from ntlworld.
This specific Ducati 900FE (VIN: ZDM1LC4M2WB027275) has enjoyed life, with over 36,000 miles on the odometer. It is number 119 of the 300 Final Editions, and has been customized with a Staintune exhaust, biposto seat, and unfortunately, non-original front fairings (from a SS, not the FE). With this many miles, though, this is one of the few FEs that you won’t have a problem taking out for a spin and worrying about getting rain on it, and that’s something to be appreciated it.
