Moto Guzzi produced just 50 of these bikes but this makes the third I’ve shared for sale this year. The short story is that they’re a limited edition based on the V7 (1st gen) that visually emulates the iconic Telaio Rosso V7 Sports from 1971. Unfortunately, I just don’t think these are nearly as special.
As you may have seen recently, I just got my hands on a V7II Stornello (the 2nd gen has upgrades like ABS, traction control, and a 6th gear), and while I’m enjoying it so far, I simply refuse to believe that a different paint job on this bike would make it as enjoyable of an experience as the original V7. Still, if you’re looking for exclusivity with a modern platform, I guess this is a distinct option. The new special edition is dubbed the Verde Legnano, obviously named after the green bodywork.
This example (VIN: 020354) has never been registered, titled, or apparently ridden. I can sort of understand if the seller is trying for a collectibility play but I feel like he’d need to keep the bike for at least a few more years before trying to make a profit on it. Plus, the photos should really be much better.
