The final version of the legendary Tonti-framed Le Mans, the 1000CI is also known as the 1000 Mark V NT (for New Type). Whatever you call it, it’s a rare find – the seller of this bike claims that the US only got 17 in 1991.
According to Ian Falloon, chancges for the “CI” included a Saprisa alternator, higher capacity oil pump, new speedometer, longer fork springs, and color options of black and red. This example (VIN: ZGUVVBVV5MM100565) looks to be in great shape and it has lots of recent work – new clutch, re-lubed shaft splines, new tires, new Ikon shocks, new Spiegler brake lines, Dyna electronic ignition, cleaned carbs, and more. Extras include Mistral stainless steel exhaust and a Corbin seat. The seller has all of the original parts.
