1 of 200 – 1973 Kawasaki F11MX

In Japan, Off-Road by AbhiLeave a Comment

The first 250cc MX bike homologated for AMA, the Kawasaki F11MX was the little brother of the legendary F12MX, both of which were predecessors to the modern KX line.

Info is hard to find on this bike, but dry weight was apparently 207 pounds thanks to magnesium hubs, chromoly frames, plastic tank/levers and more. For more on this Japanese MX rarity, check out this profile from Motocross Action Mag, which notes that:
The bike is rare, but very few collectors are looking for one. This bike is strictly for Kawasaki fans.

Kawasaki F11MX - Left Side

This bike is #82 of 200 and is being offered by East Coast Vintage MX. It was apparently acquired by the Early Years of Motocross Museum for $6,500 after a five year search, then restored (according to MXA). The seller says the only other F11MX known to exist was the former Dirt Rider Magazine test bike, which is currently in the Kawi factory museum.
