With a combination of 196 bikes and 12 kits, Bimota produced 208 examples of the YB5. #46 is currently in North Carolina at Bimota Spirit.
The YB5 was the last of the Bimotas designed by Massimo Tamburini, and it’s one of the rare ones with provisions for a passenger. That’s probably a hint as to the nature of this machine – it’s more of a sport-tourer than a sportbike. That’s one thing it shared from the bike it got a motor from, Yamaha’s FJ1200.
This example (VIN: YB5-00046) has 16,270 kilometers (9,762 Miles) was imported from Japan and has a US title. It features Mikuni flat slide carbs, K&N air filters, Conti exhaust, Marvic wheels, Marzocchi M1-R fork, and Brembo 4-piston calipers.
Find this YB5 for sale in for $16,900 here at Bimota Spirit.
