Ducati offered the 900SS line between 1975 and 1982, and the first year models were the rarest as just 246 were produced. The ’75 bikes had the gear shifter on the right side, per the original design, and it was unfettered by quickly-arriving emissions constraints. For many Ducati fans, this is the best year of the 900SS line. Here’s #214, and it’s ready for a new owner.

First year models shared the fiberglass tank from the 750SS, and they were well equipped with Marzocchi shocks, Borrani wheels, Dell’orto 40mm carbs, Brembo brakes, and a Conti exhaust.
This example (VIN: DM750SS075871) has approximately 3,800 miles and the seller says it’s never been “registered for road use”. It was “previously owned, built, and raced by Keith Harte“, who also nickel plated the frame. The sale includes two (Conti and Imola) exhausts and two sets of side covers, one of which is modified to fit the Imola high-swept pipes.
