A very limited edition of the V11, the Coppa Italia was very well spec’d, with Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, an optional $2,000 titanium exhaust, and more. I’ve seen estimates of production between 40 and 50.
For more information on this rare bike, check out this review from Ultimate Motorcycling, where it’s summarized as the following: “Well, if the roads of the world were the silver screen, and motorcycles the actors that populate them, then the Moto Guzzi V11 Coppa Italia would undoubtedly be the character actor among them.”
This example was acquired by the seller in 2012, though there was an incident during shipping and there’s still some damage to the right fork leg. The bike was low sided, which resulted in the replacement of the exhaust, a foot peg, and a few other parts, plus a repaint of the tank because the fuel tanks are basically ‘unobtanium’ now.
