For decades, Kawasaki ruled the 250cc ‘sport’bike market – though Honda has recently taken a chunk of the market with their CBR250R. Honda also challenged the little Ninja in the 80s with the VTR250, though it did not have much commercial success. For one year in the States, even the big blue threw their hat into the ring with the Yamaha SRX250.
Powered by 250cc single-cylinder 4 stroke engine, the SRX pushed out 17 horsepower and was able to rev up to 9,000 rpm. Want more information? Check out someone’s fan page for the Yamaha SRX250, one of the very few out there. This specific bike is claimed to be in good condition, and it has 17,000 miles. Find it for sale here on Craigslist in Madison, Wisconsin for $1,400.
