Thanks to the auxiliary fuel tank on the back, this well-modified V-Strom 650 can do 1,000 miles at a time without stopping. How far can you go? I’m not in love with the styling of this generation of V-Strom, but with all the works that’s been done it’s hard to argue with this for $2,600.
V-Stroms have a somewhat unfair reputation of being boring, but they’re capable and versatile machines. If you wanted to get into long distance touring for cheap it’d be hard to go wrong with this example. It’s been well-farkled (especially considering the price) with soft panniers, tank bag, Scotts steering damper, Holeshot Performance exhaust, crashbars, a SW-Motech skidplate, and of course, the extra fuel tank. It has less than 12,500 miles and I really think this would be a great buy.
