Post Listing Update: This Astro did not meet reserve despite 3 bids up to $2,800 on eBay in Corona, California.
UPDATE: I made the mistake of taking the seller at face value on this one when he or she called it a Lobito. This is actually an Astro (who would have thought, considering it says “Astro” on the side). The Astro is a great name in Bultaco’s history, but what I did not know (until today) was that the name was also slapped on to a Derbi-built 50cc supermoto from the early 2000s.
I struggled to find information on this bike, though contributor David N (who shared this bike with me) notes that they are Spanish-built Derbi Senda 50s that were re-badged as Bultacos in Europe. “They were never available here in the US because Weavers owned the Bultaco trademark in the USA.”
According to MCN, the 49cc 2-stroke motor produces 9 horsepower and returns 55 miles per gallon. Find this not-really-a Bultaco for sale in Corona, California with bidding up to $2,600 and the reserve not yet met here on eBay.
