Harley Davidson experts. I need your help. I am researching this motorcycle, and I can’t find any information to corroborate the seller’s claim that this is a 500 cc motorcycle. Everything I can find indicates that the model C was a 750 cc and the B’s were 350 CC. Bueller? Anybody??

Harley Davidson returned to the single cylinder market in 1926 with the model A and B which were both available as side valve or overhead valves (model AA and BA) after 8 years with V-Twin only. The bikes are made to be light and relatively fast to compete with the Indian and European versions. Though the singles would never sell as well as the Motor Company’s V-Twins they were offered until 1934 which was the only year of production for the CB Model. Dale Wexler of ‘Wheels Through Time’ claims there were only 150 CBs made. “Yesterday’s” claims 310 were sold.

This 1934 Harley Davidson Model CB (VIN# CB1244) is located in Monticello, Wisconsin and is listed as ‘very good used condition’. The bike has been repainted and the Art Deco graphics aren’t there. Seller says it hasn’t run for a couple of years, but should run fine with fresh gas and battery. It does look very complete to my untrained eye. The bike is currently priced at $10,700 with reserve not met
