For decades, Matchless and AJS were partnered together under the name AMC. During this time they released lots of ‘twin’ bikes – the same bikes under both names. This specific AJS Model 18 Bobber (VIN: 48/18 7588) is offered by Shannon over at SS Classics, and I love the patina. Though it’s not on the bike at the moment, this auction will include the original generator. The carb has been replaced with a concentric Amal, and the rear fender and muffler are aftermarket. The bike runs well, but the brakes will need some work.
