Post Sale Update: sold for $24,200 after 14 bids on eBay

In 1934, Phil Vincent debuted a new OHV motor that would go on to power multiple models built by the famous brand that bore his name. At first, the 499cc single was utilized in the Meteor and the Comet. Over the years the company would focus on the famous Rapide and its V-Twin motor to the point that when they restarted production after WWII, the Rapide was initially the only motorcycle they made. It was also quite expensive, so Vincent brought the singles back to open up their potential customer base. The Series C Comet was born.

This time around, the motor was a stressed member of the frame and it put out 28 horsepower thanks to an impressive (for the time) 7.3:1 compression ratio. Those ponies went through a four speed transmission and the bike was rounded out by Girdraulic front forks and rear suspension. This numbers-matching example comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the UK Vincent Owners Club. It has spent the last 7 years in a museum in California and the seller claims it’s in showroom condition.
