8-4-19 Update: 18 months later, Rod M notes that this bike is back up for sale. It’s a bit suspicious that the photos are screengrabs, but the asking price is down from $6,100 to $3,400 and the seller claims that it was recently serviced with a new crankshaft. Find it for sale here on Craigslist.
Founded in 1925, Motoconfort was a French motorcycle manufacturer that existed for just five years before they were acquired by Motobecane. During the 50s they offered a variety of models around a 125cc single – I believe this is the U54C, also known as the “Forcystandard.”
The seller is painfully light on details, all he/she shares is that this bike (VIN: 354888) runs and drives and that it’s always been stored indoors. From what I can guess, this is a 4-stroke 125cc motor. Based on this Motoconfort-focused site, the Forcystandard weighed 176 pounds and was capable of hitting nearly 50 miles per hour.
Find this Motoconfort for sale here on Craigslist in Franklin Park, Illinois for $6,100.
