One of my favorite British singles that isn’t Emma Watson, the Gold Star is a legend in the history of motorcycles. Here’s an example of the CB34 generation that’s recently been restored.
The CB34 featured an optional engine that had more fins for air cooling, an Amal GP carb, stronger crankshaft, and more upgrades.
This specific BSA Gold Star CB34 has just 1,816 miles after a restoration but it has a tremendous amount of paperwork. It was sold out of Hap Alzina in Clubman trim and comes with the factory dyno showing it put down 38.2 horsepower with the Amal GP carb. It was originally owned by Dick Mann and is now with the 4th owner. The shifter is now GP-style (1 up 4 down). The seller says this is essentially a new bike, though it does have an issue with oil weeping from the exhaust rocker spindle as the engine warms up.
