Post Sale Update: This Honda Dream 4E sold for the opening bid of $10,900.
We’re continuing the Honda theme today with a very old, very rare Honda Dream 4E. After WW2, the Japanese economy was in depression, and only a few manufacturers were able to survive. One of the reasons Honda was able to make it through was the revolutionary 4 stroke OHV engine in this Dream.
The engine displaces 220 cc and it has two exhaust ports. The three-speed transmission has an incredible lever throw of about seven inches – you’ll definitely feel like you’re enjoying old technology on this ride.
This specific Honda Dream 4E has just under 17,000 miles and is great condition consider the age. The engine runs, and the two flaws are limited to a broken cylinder fin and a missing ignition key. Not easy fixes, though they’ll be worth the effort to correct with a bike this rare. We might wait for the seller to come down a little bit on price, though.
