Post Listing Update: This Cervino was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown.
Despite the lengthy production run (between 1954 and 1966), the Cervino (Italian for “Matterhorn”) was a relatively rare Bianchi with a 175cc two-stroke engine.
I really struggled to find information on this model, though I was able to discover a parts manual in Italian from 1956 which shows that there were two models: Touring and Sport. Surprisingly (at least to me), the Touring model had a solo seat while the Sport had a dual seat. The Sport had a slightly higher compression ration of 7.8:1, which resulted in a peak of approximately 10 horsepower.
The seller of this example says that it’s in good running and riding condition thanks to a lot of TLC (as he defines it, “time, labor, and cash”). New parts include the exhaust, tires, spokes, battery, and seat cover. It’s offered on a clean California title.
