Introduced in 1949, the Cushman Eagle was an attempt to copy ‘real’ motorcycle styling, and it obviously worked. The Eagle was by far Cushman’s most successful model, the flagship of the venerable company.

The 1957 Cushman Eagle used an air cooled 318CC single cylinder flathead motor that made 8 HP. Featuring a centrifugal clutch with a two speed transmission top speed was in the area of 50 MPH. Features of the Eagle were the ‘naked engine’, contoured fenders, sprung saddle and a ‘teardrop’ fuel tank.

This 1957 Cushman Eagle is in Houston, TX and is listed as a 0 mile total restoration. It is available with a Buy It Now price of $6,000

Disclosure: I never owned a Cushman Scooter. I did own a 1958 Cushman Scotsman Golf Cart with the same square Husky engine. I bought it very used and played golf out of it for several years.
