Zundapp was able to sell about 130,000 examples of the Bella scooter between 1953 and 1964. Engine options were a 150 (146) or 200 (198) – here’s an example of the latter.
The bigger engine wasn’t introduced until May of 1954. It was good for 10 horsepower. Other improvements over the model run include a 12 volt electrical system and a one-sided leading link fork (which replaced telescopic units).
This example (VIN: 117427) was originally sold in England and was imported to the US in 2001. The odometer shows 24,963 miles and it comes with import documentation as well as the original British registration booklet, period advertising, factory manuals, and original keys.
