About a week ago, I featured a Triumph Tiger T90 from nearly 70 years ago. Let’s fast forward a couple of decades, to the Tiger T100. Here’s a ’58 model that was converted into a racer about 20 years ago.
This bike is a Class C Triumph racer, filled with goodies including the dual carburetor manifold from the Triumph racing kit with two Amal 276 carbs, Lucas competition magneto, Newby primary belt drive and clutch, Borrani rims, and more.
This specific Triumph Tiger T100 Racer (VIN: T100 016790) was built and campaigned by Gordon Menzie in the ’90s. After being completely torn down the crankshaft, the bike was cleaned up, inspected, and repaired where necessary. It is now ready to compete, although the seller says it wouldn’t be too difficult to convert it to street use.
