Also known as the Golden Eagle (note the color of the engine cases), the Matchless G50 was a racer that evolved from the AJS 7R (the Boy Racer). Here’s one of the 180 G50s that were built.
This is an interesting platform, as high quality replicas are still being made today. It’s main competitor back in the day was the Norton Manx. This bike (VIN: G50-1759) has undergone a restoration of ‘high standard’, it’s been with the seller since 1975.
