Known as the Beagle in the UK, this little 75cc BSA commuter was marketed as the Starlite in America.
The 75cc single was good for 5 horsepower at the crank, which was enough seeing as the whole thing weighed 145 pounds. The two gallon tank typically yielded over 200 miles of range. For more on the Starlite, check out this Retrospective from Rider magazine. They note that “the Honda 90 proved to be cheaper and better”, which is why just 3,200 of these were built (less than 600 of which came to the US).
The seller of this example says that it has 2,626 miles and that it’s all original. He adds that “I’ve got it to fire a couple times but I have no idea what I’m doing with these old bikes” so I assume you’ll need to do the carbs, at a minimum.
