In the same way that Apple used to donate computers to elementary schools in hopes that kids would grow up and want Macs, Triumph though that if they got youngsters started on their Tiger Cub, then they’d grow up aspiring to own Bonnevilles.
The 199cc air-cooled single produced 10 horsepower, good enough to get the bike up to around 60-70 miles per hour. It had a four-speed transmission, and the bike weighed about 250 pounds wet. This specific Triumph Tiger Cub has apparently been stored for 40 years. It’s being offered by the original owner who says the bike is 95% original and that it runs like new. Not bad – plus you’ll get the owner’s manual.
