In 1969, the second year of production, Norton introduced the S model of its instant-classic Commando. Designed primarily for the United States, the S came with scrambler pipes and is one of the more collectible models of the breed. Check out Silodrome for a wonderful buying guide/summary on the Commando. This specific Norton Commando S (VIN: 132902) has just 6,102 miles and looks absolutely fantastic, even if I’m scared to admit that Fireflake Red is not my favorite color on these bikes. This bike is being offered by the third owner and while it was not restored, it has been completely disassembled, detailed, had the motor and gearbox refreshed (including being bored over .20), and put back together. The seller gets into great detail about the bike, and the listing is well-documented with photos – count me as a fan of this seller.
