Here’s one I’ve never heard of before – a Saracen Trials 125. Sold out of England, these are very difficult to find in the United States, assuming you’re one of the few people that’s even looking for them.
Saracen bikes were built from ’67 to ’75 – the latter years were under the care of David Brand, who bout the brand and attempted to put bigger engines in the frames, but these ended up being less useful for trials competition. But bikes like this one used a Sachs 125cc engine with a five-speed gearbox. Though the bikes were supposedly well-built, they were a bit too expensive and the company went out of business. After this, David bought the company and tried to bring them back. As you can guess, it didn’t work out.
This specific Saracen Trials is being offered by the third owner. It has some cosmetic issues, but the frame and engine are in great shape.
