In 1971, BSA brought back the Gold Star name – except they put it on a couple of street scramblers – the B50 (500cc) and the B25 (250cc) featured here. The naming convention ruffled some feathers as these bikes didn’t have much in terms of sporting pretensions.
In addition to the SS (Street Scrambler), BSA offered the B25T, a Trail bike that was more off-road oriented. By this point BSA was seriously on the decline – the B25SS wasn’t offered the next year, and a year after that, BSA was out of business. This example has 16,000 miles and comes with the owners manual, shop manual, and tool kit. The seller says the bike needs some TLC – and some riders may want to replace the stock muffler, which weighs a significant 20 pounds.
