Built between 1970 and 1973, the Bizon (Bison) was a distinctively-styled motorcycle designed to capture sales in export markets. It wasn’t tremendously successful, and just 4,436 examples were built.
According to the seller, there are less than 5 Bizons in the US – I’m unable to find any information to verify or disprove that. This example is said to run great and was recently serviced with a repack of the wheel bearings and new brakes. The sale will also include a spare motor, the original fenders, and a service manual. I’m not much of a Jawa expert but the seller says that most motor parts are interchangeable with the 634, a 343cc air-cooled two-stroke powerplant.
Though there’s some overlap with the motor, the bodywork, forks, airbox, seat, and lots of other small pieces are unique to the Bison…so don’t drop it! Find this Bizon for sale in Boulder, Colorado with an unmet opening bid of $2,900
